Jason Lassek
With over 30 years of experience as a licensed stylist and more than 20 years as a licensed Cosmetology Instructor, I have dedicated my career to the art and education of beauty. Throughout the years, I’ve led a wide range of trainings in cosmetology schools, on platform stages at hair shows, and in salon settings—sharing my knowledge, refining skills, and inspiring both new and seasoned professionals.

My passion for hair began in childhood, nurtured in my mother’s salon where I first discovered the transformative power of beauty and self-care. Today, that early inspiration fuels my dedication to empowering and educating fellow stylists. With a strong foundation in all hair types and textures, and a natural ability to connect with people, I create engaging and impactful learning experiences that inspire confidence, creativity, and growth in every stylist I teach.
Nakeita Lewis
My journey in hair care began over 30 years ago as a loctician, driven by a deep respect for natural hair and cultural traditions. In 2009, I chose to become a licensed professional to expand my skills and offer more comprehensive services to my loc clients. Over time, I discovered that my true calling goes beyond the chair—I have a genuine passion for educating others. Whether I’m teaching clients about healthy hair practices or helping fellow stylists grow their confidence, I’m committed to sharing knowledge. With a strong understanding of global hair textures and types, I strive to create an inclusive, empowering experience for every stylist and client I encounter.
Octavia Gillmore
My love for hair began at a young age, styling my friends and discovering the power of creativity and confidence. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills in creating custom cuts and styles that highlight each client’s natural beauty. One of my areas of focus has been sew in extensions . I have perfected my techniques to create a seamless blend and look completely natural. What truly drives me, though, is teaching others. Whether it’s showing clients how to recreate their favorite looks at home or mentoring fellow stylists on advanced techniques, I’m passionate about education. I believe in empowering others with the knowledge and skills they need to feel confident, capable, and inspired.
Courtney Tatum
As a Curly Girl myself, I understand the unique needs of all curl types and textures. My passion for education was sparked during cosmetology school, where I naturally stepped into a mentoring role among my peers. I discovered I had a true gift for connecting with others and empowering them with the knowledge and confidence they needed to grow. Whether working behind the chair or in an educational setting, I’m committed to supporting and uplifting others through both expertise and encouragement.
